The fee of 5 for children's at both clubs Reigate and Chessington classes payable on each lesson and the insurance/membership fee is the same for all students.

Gradings

You don't have to grade, but it is a great way to see yourself progressing.

A note on gradings, the Sensei will be grading you throughout the year and when it feels right to grade you, this could happen at anytime in the lesson so be prepared when your called up you could actually be grading.

Can anyone practice?

Anyone can practice aikido as it is possible to tailor the art to your physical and learning capabilities at the sensei's discretion.

If i am from another club or style can i still come and train?

You are more than welcome to come along and join us, and as you would have worked hard for your grading, your belt will still be recognized by the sensei on the mat (WE MAY NEED TO SEE PROOF) so bring any certificates you may have. Also if you are from another style our syllabus may be slightly different to ours.

Were do i buy a uniform from and how much will cost me?

The GI we wear is a Judo or Karate GI, but we have found that both are good and do the job, the Karate GI may be seen more in the summer months as it's thinner than the Judo GI. The prices vary from place to place, you can buy one on the internet or ask your sensei they will normally be able source them at competitive prices. They vary in price and quality depending were you buy from, and what size you order, they range from 15 upwards for childrens and adults are 25 upwards. If you already have a PLAIN WHITE GI you are more than welcome to wear that.

What age can you train from at your club

You can start training from 4 years to 11 years in the children's club.

The intermediate class has a mix of children to teens at the discretion of the sensei as some will advance quicker than others.

The sensei is fully CRB checked and serious about protecting children.
